Earth Observation Summer School 2026 17 Aug 2026 – 21 Aug 2026, Istanbul, Turkey https://opengeohub.org/events/earth-observation-summer-school-2026 Using a computer terminal in front of other people gives you power. If they do not know anything about it, you look like a hacker that is doing some very sec ret, elaborate, and important work. You feel proud while you are actually just checking which files did you put into that clumsily-named directory. Would you want to get into that pride club? There is more than just a regular GIS interface to GRASS. It starts with the command-line interface but continues through Python interface(s) and Jupyter notebook integration to more sophisticated and powerful approaches. Start using GRASS as a geocomputational engine instead of a regular GIS. Be one of the first people in the world to master the new Python interface - grass.tools.
